Ryan H. Deck
About
Ryan Deck grew up in Williamson County where he attended Round Rock High School. After graduation, he attended Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. At Trinity, Ryan lettered all four years in football and was ultimately awarded 1st Team All-America honors as a linebacker. After receiving his undergraduate degree in Finance, he attended The University of Houston Law Center, graduating in 2003.
Upon graduation, Ryan became an Assistant District Attorney in Montgomery County prosecuting numerous criminal cases. Then, in 2006, he moved back to his hometown of Round Rock to open the Law Office of Ryan H. Deck. His law office is focused entirely on criminal defense in Williamson County.
Since 2014, he has been consistently named as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer by the National Trial Lawyers Association. In 2016, Mr. Deck received special recognition from the Williamson County Bar Association for excellence in the field of criminal defense. In 2020, he was selected to receive the designation of Elite Lawyer, which is a rating service that awards and recognizes attorneys who have displayed a high level of competence in their practice and received acknowledgement from the peers, community, bar and committees. Also, he has been given the highest possible rating (10.0) by the lawyer directory Avvo.
In 2019, Ryan achieved his long-time professional goal by becoming Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS). The TBLS was established in 1974 by the Supreme Court of Texas and it certifies lawyers that have substantial, relevant expertise in select areas of the law. Board Certified lawyers must commit to substantial continuing legal education, verify that he/she has been lead counsel in multiple felony and misdemeanor jury trials and must also pass a rigorous examination. There are well over 90,000 licensed attorneys in Texas and LESS THAN 1% are Board Certified in Criminal Law.
Ryan currently lives in Round Rock, Texas with his wife, Brittany and his two sons. His hobbies include teaching self defense at Round Rock Krav Maga and playing golf. Every time he plays golf, he just hopes his real swings look as good as his practice swings.
